Packaging Design in Chennai

Packaging that survives the shelf, the supply chain, and the client's brother-in-law who has opinions. Designed and printed under one roof since 1998.

A packaging design is not finished when it looks good on screen. It is finished when it folds correctly, holds its contents, carries every mandatory declaration, scans at the counter, and still looks like your brand after four hours under retail lighting.

We design packaging for companies that actually manufacture things - food and FMCG, pharma, cosmetics, industrial goods, jewellery and textiles. Because we print as well as design, every die-line we draw has already been checked against the press it will run on.

What packaging design includes

Structural design and die-lines

We draw the die-line to your product's real dimensions and weight, not a template. Cartons, sleeves, rigid boxes, pouches, labels and shippers.

Graphic design and artwork

Front-of-pack hierarchy, colour, typography and imagery, built so the product reads correctly from three feet away in a crowded aisle.

Regulatory and mandatory content

We urge client to adhere FSSAI declarations, net quantity, ingredients, nutritional panels, batch and expiry fields, manufacturer details, barcodes and recycling marks duly provided so they are legible and compliant, not squeezed in at the end.

Photography and mockups

Product photoshoots where needed, plus realistic 3D mockups so you can see the pack before committing to a print run.

Production-ready files

Print specs, substrate recommendations, Pantone callouts and separated artwork, handed over ready for any printer,  ours or yours.

Industries we package for

Food & FMCG

Snacks, spices, oils, honey, ready-to-cook, beverages. Grease resistance, barrier requirements and FSSAI layout are designed in from the start.

Pharma & nutraceutical

Mono cartons, blister packs, strip labels and leaflets. Tight regulatory content, small type at high legibility, batch and expiry fields that print reliably.

Cosmetics & personal care

Bottles, tubes, jars, sachets. Shrink sleeves, metallised finishes and foiling, with label adhesives chosen for the surface.

Industrial & chemical

Drums, cans, canisters and bulk packs. Hazard marking, durability and legibility under warehouse conditions.

Jewellery & textiles

Rigid boxes, pouches, hang tags and swing tickets. Finish and feel matter as much as the print here.

How a packaging project runs

1. Discovery

Your product, your shelf competitors, your price position, your printer's capability. We ask about the manufacturing constraints before we ask about the colours.

2. Structure first

Die-line drawn and dummy folded. Getting the structure right before the graphics saves redoing the graphics.

3. Design routes

Two or three distinct directions, presented as flat artwork and 3D mockups on your actual pack shape.

4. Refinement

You pick a direction. We refine it, run the regulatory content past you, and check every declaration is present.

5. Pre-press and handover

Separated, print-ready artwork with substrate and Pantone specs. If we are printing it, it goes straight to plate.

What packaging design costs

Packaging pricing depends on three things: the number of SKUs, the complexity of the structure, and whether photography is involved.

A single mono carton with supplied product images sits at the lower end. A range of eight SKUs with a new structural die-line, a photoshoot and full regulatory layout sits considerably higher.

We quote per project after a short conversation, not from a rate card - a rate card would either overcharge the simple jobs or underquote the complex ones. Tell us how many SKUs and what you are packing, and we will give you a real number.

Packaging FAQ

How long does packaging design take?

A single pack typically takes 2–3 weeks from brief to print-ready artwork. A multi-SKU range takes 4–6 weeks. Photography adds about a week.

Do I own the final artwork?

Yes. On completion you receive the working files and full ownership of the final design.

Can you design packaging if I print elsewhere?

Yes. We hand over production-ready files with full specs, and we are happy to speak to your printer directly about substrate and finishing.

Do you handle FSSAI and regulatory content?

NO. We urge clients to lay out all mandatory declarations correctly and flag anything missing. Final legal responsibility for the accuracy of the content stays with you, as it does with any design studio - we make sure it is present, legible and correctly positioned.

Can you print the packaging too?

Yes. We have been printing since 1998 - offset, screen, foil, die-cutting and pasting. Most clients use us for both, which removes the handover risk entirely.

What do you need from me to start?

Product dimensions and weight, the contents, your target retail price, any existing brand assets, and examples of packs you like and dislike. That is enough to begin.
